Reshaping The Future

Who we are

A 4-year initiative to improve accessibility, resiliency and sustainability.

What is Reshaping the future?

Thanks to the Government of Canada and the Government of Ontario, Town Hall 1873 has received 73% of the funding needed to complete renovations to further improve the accessibility, sustainability and resiliency of the building’s 150 year old infrastructure.

As of November 2023, work on this 4-year project has already begun and will continue through 2026. Updated costs to complete all projects have increased substantially and we are now looking at $1,000,000 required to complete all aspects of this accessibility/renovations project. We are now raising the remaining funds, approximately $350,000 on our part, through our “Reshaping The Future” capital campaign in order to complete all remaining projects.

Your donation will go directly into installing a new, fully accessible elevator to provide access to all levels of the building, from parking lot to stage level, an upgraded kitchen, improvements to the greenroom and patrons lounge, restoration of the Simcoe Street marquee, upgraded sound equipment for the theatre and ensuring the iconic Bell Tower is restored and returned to its rightful, historic location above the building.

Please make a gift today to help us set the stage for the next 150 years!
